Treetop Cafe Staff T-Shirt

In Graphic Design

About the project
In 2017, Treetop Cafe of Waterloo began to make the cafe’s employees uniform corresponding to the casual work environment. The t-shirt should be unisex, which applicable to both men and women.
This design projects started in mid-2017. I began to conduct some research about some t-shirt design concept for a staff t-shirt. I also decide to choose the right t-shirt composition and colour that applies to the cafe’s brand. Some appropriate t-shirt design layouts were presented in the mockup review stage.

Design Stage
During the design stage, I work as a CAD Designer and a graphic designer. I involved in designing some t-shirt variations and send them to the client. I also received feedback to amend the content to fit with the client’s need.

Final Stage
The T-shirt design prototype was successfully approved by the client in a few months later. The next process was communicating with the outsourced printing company to print the final t-shirt artwork. I also organise the final design layout for printing quality and colour adjustment. It took a week to print and to deliver the t-shirt to the site.

Conclusion
Throughout this t-shirt design project, I learnt how to design the flat t-shirt layout and to choose the appropriate t-shirt colour selection with some graphic elements, such as logos and typography that relate to the Treetop cafe style. I also involved in communicating with the factory to get the right t-shirt.
